I partnered with a wonderful like hearted woman named Sharonne Finch-Dendy to create the BASE Foundation. A non-profit organization that is local to Richmond, Va that works to bridge the gaps in services through outreach and education. At its core, our mission is to provide the foundation and tools needed to build a safe environment for those within our communities. Through acts of kindness, mutual aid, and collaboration, we aim to inspire others to lift their peers out of tough situations, while creating an environment that promotes longevity and opens doors to new opportunities. Our goal is to guide individuals toward long-term stability by connecting them to or providing them with essential resources and services.

Through my work as Chief Community Organizer I help to support all outreach efforts both locally and nationally.

We have served hundreds of people and families through our annual efforts such as our back-to-school drive in August, Holiday meal and clothing community event in November, as well as our Holiday Toy Distribution in December. Twice a year BASE goes national by way of community outreach at the conferences I attend. I believe that it is important to give back to every community that embraces me while I do this work. One event is usually in DC, and the other on the west coast. Throughout the year we also contribute to mutual aid efforts for not only people local to us but partnering organizations and nonprofits from all over the country. I truly believe that it takes a community to hold a community and there should be no bounds when it comes to this.
